Pocket Dimensions

The End has come. The stars begin to dim. The cosmic hourglass of thermodynamics has spent its last grain. After millions upon millions of years, the great conflagration of explosive energy spawned from the Big Bang has spent its impressive reserves, and now the particles which make up existence are about to drift away into the endless nothingness of space, forever. Energy cedes to entropy. Oblivion consumes all. The Heat Death of the Universe is Nigh. 

However, that energy called life isn’t going down without a fight. The last great sentient races of the galaxy, fleeing their dying stars on scant time and limited resources, have concocted one last ditch effort to save all of existence and attempt to flip over the cosmic hourglass and cheat the reaper at his own game. Using the pinnacle of their scientific achievement, these sentient species have assembled an atomic “Super-Collider” that is meant to gather up a bunch of particles, and trigger a second “Big Bang,” giving a second chance to themselves, and everything that will come after. 

Of course, multiple species are attempting this process, with their own Super-Colliders. As a single faction in this war for existence, you must use your spacecraft to gather up as many particles as you can to create the most successful reaction, as only the winner’s collider will be the center of the new Big Bang, and be able to make it into the next generation
