Starborough City: Conspiracy

Welcome to Starborough City, the spookiest, most haunted, and the largest Meta-Species density location on the planet. Most cities have their own dark shadows, but Starborough is made of them. A gigantic Sprawling metropolis where the old and the new clash in strange and frightening ways. With gothic cathedrals and pre-industrial residential neighborhoods sitting at the feet of towering technologically advanced skyscrapers and modern business outlets, housing vampires in penthouse suites who look down at abyssal horrors that crawl beneath the earth. It is a place of endless contrast and mystery, where the Streets themselves change week after week, and reality sometimes gets fuzzy when you take a wrong turn. Yet through it all humanity persists as always does. Adapting to every situation with bullheadedly stoic denial of all things strange. They get up, they go to work, they walk home before dark, and pretend not to notice that squelching thing waiting in the alley at the corner of their vision, or the cries for help from that one unlucky soul who decided to stray where they didn’t belong. The murder rate in Starborough City is the lowest in the country. However, it has the highest suicide rate. The police don’t work at night. The arbitrary Nightcourt takes care of that. The people know that there are ghouls crawling through their rubbish bins at night, but they also know that they’ll live to see tomorrow as long as they keep a candle at their window. The city runs just fine. Its just a little stranger than others.
